Synopsis

The theme of the movie is 'Female Infanticide'. It is a sarcastic look at this inhuman practice. The movie is setup in a fictional year 20XX A.D when human race is on the verge of extinction. This due to the fact that there are no women anymore on the planet & they are the ones who have the natural ability to reproduce. What do our 'HERO' who symbolizes the last of the men, do to save the human race is the cusp of the movie.

'20XX A.D' is going to be screened on 22nd Sept 2006 at 22:30 in the 3rd Annual Borges en Curt film festival. Its our first official screening and I'm very excited about it. The sad part is we cannot be present at the screening to see the audience response for '20XX A.D'. So people if you happen to be visiting the festival and watch '20XX A.D' please tell us what u feel about the movie.

The movie has a odd name. ‘20XX A.D’ has a certain meaning to it. 20XX A.D is a year like 2006 A.D, but why XX and not numbers? There are three reasons for it.

‘X’ is a variable in Mathematics i.e. it can be any number, because I'm not Nostradamus to do predictions of events.

‘XX’ in biology are the chromosomes of a female child. As our movie dealt with the subject, i feel it was appropriate to use ‘XX’.

We have always seen in a lot of movies that ‘X’ is symbol of death & if the alarming rate of female feticide continues it’s the end of human race.

My new job has been very lucky to me. Within 2 months of joining the job, the movie has been selected three film festivals. Borges en Curt in Spain, Shortfilms on FILMY & WT Os Film Festival in Norway.

certainly the movie might be made better in many ways with lots of young enthusiasts concerned abt the societal malfunctions,by being more creative and more deliberate to watch such documentaries and movies.
