A young American woman of Armenian descent, Anoush Karagozian (Lena Bookall) is named as a contact by an old Arab boyfriend who gives his captors her name under torture. Anoush is spied on and followed by agents from The Office of Homeland Security who kidnap her from her apartment without warrent and detain her for questioning at a secret facility. But they want more than answers, they want Anoush to become an informant in the Arab community. When she refuses to cooperate she is imprisoned indefinitely under the jurisdiction of the Patriot Act. Anoush is deprived of food and fresh water and she is under constant survelliance in her cell: watching her is a mastermind brainwasher refered to as Mr. Green (John Forgeham). As Anoush is tortured and brainwashed, Mr. Green becomes the only one she can talk to, the only one she can trust. She resist as long as she can but eventually she is broken: the brainwashing has worked. Now Mr. Green rebuilds her as a mole for the government. After one final and terrible test to prove herself, Anoush is returned to her home, the perfect mole. But the damage done to her mind is astonishing as we see in the final moments of the film. This is a brutal and vivid examination of the darkest actions of our United States government.
