Synopsis
A strong-handed strangler, or his lookalike, is discovered working for a Florida Naval base. Rattled by 'Wanted for Murder' posters depicting his face, he flees to the home of his mother. A demented invalid, she reveals to him that he has a twin she gave away at birth: 'I didn't want that one. He was evil.' His pal Reggie advises him to catch the real killer, and orders him to use a missile launcher to attack an aircraft carrier. Our hero is actually a double agent. He can't find the twin so he addresses a letter to him and leaves it with a barmaid whom he suspects of knowing the twin. She disobeys instructions and reads the letter: 'Brother, Saturday I'm going to bomb the USS Jefferson. You'd better take care of me.' She rushes off to stop him in time. The twin doesn't show up, so he puts away his handgun (he had planned to off the twin here) and aims the launcher. The barmaid and her friend stop him and chase him into an historical fort, where he meets the twin and tries choking him. But it's revealed he is choking only himself: he and the twin are the same person. Long ago driven mad by an extremist culture, he succeeds only in killing himself with the handgun.
