Violence in society is often blamed on violent films, video games and television. This particularly upsets Claire Arden a famous horror novelist. Her father and brother were killed in a mysterious accident and she grew up with an aunt. Claire's novel 'Flood Gate', a violent and gruesome story has just been released as a feature film. Sure enough the film sparked controversy and Claire has had it. Claire seeks out a reclusive computer genius, Ramie who lives in a cabin in the woods. Ramie is very content to stay out of sight and off the grid. Like any young man, Ramie is excited when the attractive older and famous Ms. Arden contacts him and asks him to do some work for her. He is even willing to leave the cabin to pick her up. At the remote cabin, Claire asks Ramie to conduct an illegal hacking of those who purchased her novels. Ramie refuses but Claire is not to be thwarted. A fringe brotherhood performs world wide exorcisms. Father Dan holds a fellow elder priest as the elder priest dies. Exorcisms have taken their toll on the old priest. Father Dan knows he has a mission. The balance must be maintained but the balance is shifting. Chaos unfolds as malevolent possessions increase.
