Film Description:
Synopsis
Boris and Katarina, a beautiful couple. Active in the arts, they are young, creative and overflowing with plans and ideas. After just a half year of marriage, Boris suddenly suffers a terrible stroke. In the time that follows, it is not just his life that hangs by a thin thread. He becomes a child, and Katarina discovers herself in the role of a mother. She lets us share in the longstanding battle for her husband and her relationship, for money and for cures?as well as in her wearying self-doubt. The stroke destroyed more than just cerebral pathways; with it went all personal and social securities. A moving video diary has been created?interwoven with dream sequences?which raises major questions about love and hate, life and death, responsibility and guilt. 'How can I go out and lead an active life when he, so isolated and rigid, battles with the most banal questions of existence? And what if what the doctors say, that the condition could be permanent, is true? And what if depression makes us crumble into speechlessness?' The chronicle of a recovery.
