Film Description:

Synopsis

Andy is a raw, fly on the wall narrative that follows an inexperienced young man as he arrives in the city to seek his future and in turn transforms himself from a victim into a master of the urban street. Andy arrives, he sees the harsh reality of city life, he falls in with a tough crowd, experiences violence, drugs and eventually sex, learns how to fight back when he is challenged and eventually he beats his enemies down until he rises above them as a hardened gang boss. He has gained strength but he has lost his innocent heart. Shot mostly at night, on the sidewalks, at parties and in the clubs of Boston's underground punk scene, Andy's gritty feel and continuous music makes this 72 minute film a moody urban coming of age adventure. Shot almost entirely in scene order and using local clubbers, artists, gang members, punks and true life street characters this film feels almost like a docudrama. With only ambient dialog the narrative story is carried with great power by the visual images, the music and the action alone.
