12 days left til our world premiere at AFI Fest in LA. Nervewracking! This movie has been 5 years and much sweat/tears in the making. We've worked so hard on it. The short version of the film won Grand Prize at the Ann Arbor FF... but now the movie is much longer and better. Will people like it? Frantically printing posters, postcards, sending out press kits. Wondering if a movie about surviving the genocide in Rwanda will resonate with audiences. Hope so...............

Felicitations, Mr Rutagarama! How did your screenings at AFI go? Where are you taking this next?

The synopsis reads: "It is about healing, hope, renewal, family, forgiveness and finding your own peace." In short: this movie is about the worst and best of humankind--with, extraordinarily, emphasis on the latter. It is heartening that this film will be seen by people around the world; and one hopes that meaningful political and personal action will be the result Back Home.
