Synopsis

Steve and Dave work in a comic book store. They do the same things every day: They read comic books about amazing heroes and villains. They play card games where they control powerful creatures and pit them against each other. They constantly complain about each other's view of the world. And then one day two new customers walk into the store... Now Steve and Dave move from cards and books to human beings as they compete against each other to try to manipulate the boy and girl in order to answer that eternal question: Does love really happen like it does in comic books? It culminates with a big sale, good timing, dastardly villainy and maybe even true love... all before the boss gets back from the comic book convention.

Just recieved word that "Because You Demanded It!" will be screening at the Vancouver Student Film Festival (www.vsff.com) on September 15th and 16th at the Vancity Theatre on Seymour Street. I won't be able to attend, as I'll be attending the DC Shorts festival with a film I edited (David Brigden's "Last Day") the same weekend, but cast and crew will be attending in my stead.

For those of you in the Houston area, "Because You Demanded It!" will be playing at the Dusk 'Til Dawn Film Festival at the Aurora Theater on July 21-22. Not sure what time yet, but info should be up soon on dtdfilmfest.com. Go check it out!

Big Island Film Festival May 24, 2006 09:53AM

Just got back from Hawaii, where a good time was had by all. It will only be bigger and better next year, and I highly encourage people to apply. We met a lot of really cool people, and made some good new film friends.

Anyway, our screening was the last of the festival, and it was a little under-attended, but the people who saw it seemed to like it, and it was a good lead-in for the hilarious "Boogie Board Beach."

Because You Demanded It! has been selected for the Big Island Film Festival in Hawaii! It screens as part of the 'Ohana' family-friendly series on Sunday, May 21st at 7:30 pm.
