Synopsis

'Now I want to introduce a man who is celebrated artist who is an incomparable and magnetic teacher who has been an inspiration for generations of artists in New York and elsewhere.... The great, exuberant, triumphant, galumphant Frank Mason.' - Tom Wolfe Salmagundi Club, New York, New York Opening remarks in honor of Frank Mason DIVINE LIGHT follows noted Art Student's League Master Teacher Frank Mason from his painting studio for 50 years above Cafe Roma on Mott Street through the streets, restaurants, and bars of Little Italy. We travel to Italy with him as he revisits for the last time his greatest artistic achievement which hangs in an 11th century Venetian Church. Returning back home to Little Italy and to the New York landmark Old St. Patrick's Cathedral he reflects on the artist's life. He contemplates his calling to be a painter and the true meaning of his powerful painting 'Resurrection' that hangs there behind the alter.
