Film Description:
Synopsis
Donuts at Night is the story of Frank Brown, a night-shift baker trapped in a fog of sugar and dough. Part comedy, part drama, Donuts at Night follows Frank as he struggles with the questions of growing where one is planted, or holding on to the fantasies of youth. The common experiences of finding one's true-self amidst poverty and isolation are revealed in a beautifully photographed short, filmed on location in Missoula, Montana. Toni Matlock is featured as Ms. Hoerner, the proverbial last-straw for Frank as he tries weakly to wrest some kind of victory from the grip of his modest existence. What shock will bring Frank to the surface, and what life will he choose?
