Synopsis

For more than 100 years at The University of Michigan, Michigamua has dedicated itself to 'fight like hell for Michigan.' However, while this student organization has a deep love for the University, does the rest of the University love Michigamua? Michigamua carries a complicated history of Native American symbolism and secrecy that has been heavily scrutinized by students, staff, and faculty for decades. Trust has been lost, lawsuits have been filed, and campus leaders have been alienated. It's time to find out why.

Welcome to my documentary blog! Well, my name is Jamie Shenk and I am a senior at the University of Michigan. For the past 10 months, my colleague Dean Ho and I put together a documentary about one of the most painful and controversial stories our school has ever witnessed.
