Film Description:
Synopsis
Heartware begins with our unseen protagonist returning home to Singapore after a prolonged absence. With each of these brief visits, he delights at the thought of reuniting with family and friends in familiar surroundings, only to find that he is increasingly challenged by his past. Demons he thought he had long conquered resurface. He struggles to find reasons for them, as he runs the rule on a lost love and his identity. Growing up with a Catholic & Muslim background in a Jewish school, he is a global-nomad who embraces all religions and races; and had never anticipated this feeling of disorientation. Lamenting life, he unwittingly embarks on a self-reflective journey; a subconscious attempt at discovering if indeed one exists enslaved by hard-wired insanity, through a series of images of a Singapore only he knows and captured by his mind.
