Film Description:
Synopsis
It began as a job interview. It will end in mortal combat. Vincent Kincaid needs a job. He's even undergone a rigorous psychological exam to prove he's the right man for the job. The only other applicant, Ernie, is a conspiracy nut with psychopathic tendencies, who gleefully insists this company is actually a CIA front. The two men are put together in a waiting room, facing a giant mirror. Ernie insists they're being watched. 'We're still taking the test. Get it?' Vincent thinks Ernie is insane until he's called into his interview...where two CIA agents are waiting to interview him. In fact, the CIA has taken a keen interest in Vincent Kincaid. The psychological profile has rated Vincent a 'K-7.' But what does 'K-7' mean?

"...Though it might seem overenthusiastic to recommend an entire program on the basis of one short, closer "K-7" would make sitting through two hours of C-SPAN2 worth it. The film won Best Live Action Short at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and even its opening credits are stimulating. The acting is note-perfect, the script tight, and the look as crisp as a Hollywood feature."
The complete review is here.
The award itself is a sharp glass thing which could be used as a weapon, if necessary. And perhaps, one day, it will.

Hello, well it’s been some time since my last update, this years Renderyard Film Festival had a fantastic response from film makers around the world and attracted some big names in Animation including the winners of the Cannes short film award with there short film One Rat Short. The festival drew a wide range of short experimental films and animations and really emphasised the diversity and contempory nature of short films being made globally at the moment, very impressive stuff. The winner of this year’s festival was Sarah Orenstein with her animation called Windows Masks and Doors. This film really captures the visually and creative essence of Renderyard and incorporates a great imagation with technical brilliance to make a unique and very engaging film that explores the visual Varity of animation. You can view the film at www.renderyard.com or at the Renderyard, You tube page. The festival will return again next year and we look forward to more outstand short films, we hope to make it bigger and better than 2006 and will be including guest speakers from the industry as well as Directors. Till then check the site and send us your email address for current updates. Take care, Mark Reid - Renderyard Director

Job interview gone bad? Sounds really ripe for the picking. Those who hate work, fake jobs, the BS of politics in the workplace, hating to work a deadend job... Unite!
Is this film touching any of thoise issues? A psycho-thriller? Quite possibly. I'll research to find out more.
