Factory worker John Durham gave up a long time ago on finding love, and on getting out of the small town he was born in. Stuck in a world that lingers on the past, John finds himself on the worst shift at the factory and living at home with his heartbroken stepmother. When he falls in love with Mary Lang, a high school senior with dreams of leaving Oklahoma, he begins to uncover the life that he had given up. As he sees his world around him beginning to shift, and as his love for Mary deepens, John rediscovers the heavy cost of trying to believe again.
