Film Description:

Synopsis

'iSNATS', dubbed as neo-realist, is a story of a small-time cellphone snatcher/collector(J) who got into trouble when he steals SAM's cellphone (a former cop-drug dealer). J thinks he hits it big-time when he gets a drug delivery through the snatched phone. but drug lord RUDY wants his drug money and so orders/threatens SAM to get it back. SAM and J team up to survive and eventually escape on a rusty PNR Bicol Express Train. the duo then DECIDES TO CHANGE THEIR LIVES as they reach the province. Shot in the gritty streets of Cubao and Recto Manila, the film portrays man's attachment to material things that leads him to bad decisions/situations. Dubbed as neo-realist, iSNATS showcases the phenomenon of cellphone snatching in Manila, Philippines. The Filmmaker interviewed real-life Snatchers to get to know what drives them to do such crime and to add realistic dramatization in the life of a snatcher. A debut feature by Writer/Director MiKE DAGÑALAN, iSNATS is an Action and satirical Comedy digital movie that showcases the effects of technology to the Filipino people. In the advent of digital video technology, the Filipino Filmmaker copes up in Third-world Filmmaking. Digital Filmmaking is a fresh way to tell stories and a new direction for Philippine Cinema.
