The story of a young man named Sam and his rebellion against the nature of life. Sam wants to make his way by his own merit not on the reputation of his family. He leaves home and finds himself involved in a world of crime. Sam soon meets Caleb a gang member from another city. When Caleb arrives Sam is in the midst of being punished for screwing up a past operation. Caleb steps in stopping the beating and risking the wrath of Eddie the gang leader Eddie forces Sam to beat Caleb as an initiation into the gang. In spite of the way their relationship began Sam and Caleb become friends. Before long a rift falls between the two friends. Caleb finds out that Sam is running away from a family that loves him. Ironically Caleb has also run away from home and believes that he is no longer able to return. Caleb does not want Sam to suffer the same fate. Caleb chides Sam and tells him to return home. Sam's rebellious nature returns and he begins to see Caleb as one more person telling him what to do. Sam and Caleb’s friendship dissolves and Sam decides to try to branch out on his own. In his attempt he risks his life and Caleb's. He is forced to decide to either take responsibility for his actions or allow someone else to take the blame for him.
