"The Ballad of the Purple Clam" is a stop-motion film created and animated by Adam Fisher while studying at Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Film and Animation. Adam drew heavily on his experiences growing up in a coastal Maine fishing village as inspiration to make this film. It has done well so far, being selected as a regional finalist in the 2006 Student Academy Awards as well as an official selection to the RIT honors show. Upcoming in July, it will precede the opening night film of the Maine International Film Festival on the 14th in Waterville, ME, and will screen in the Stony Brook Film Festival on July 27th at the Staller Center at SUNY Stony Brook.
