Film Description:
Synopsis
With daily cattle drives through the city's historic Stockyards, the Fort Worth Herd takes a unique approach to preserving the rich history of the Chisholm Trail, one of the many cattle trails that meandered from south Texas north to the railroads during the late 1800s. More commonly known as 'Cowtown,' Fort Worth, Texas celebrates its cattle history with daily cattle drives through its historic Stockyards in order to pay homage to the men and women who drove those cattle north over a hundred years ago. The men and women who represent those Drovers today serve as ambassadors for Fort Worth and regale locals and tourists alike with stories about Fort Worth, the Chisholm Trail, and the Drovers who lived the life that few today would even attempt.
