Film Description:
Synopsis
An agoraphobic and neurotic misfit, Wentworth lives in his apartment with his imaginary girlfriend and his pet pig. He’s frustrated because he knows that he’ll never have a real relationship with this woman because she is a figment of his imagination. When he ventures out into the real world to the doctor’s office to have a mole removed, he meets a real-life version of the girl in his dreams, Emily. Overcome by confusion, Wentworth runs back to his apartment and is confronted by an angry and jealous Dream Emily. When the Real Emily shows up on his doorstep to ask him out to dinner, it fuels Dream Emily’s rage and she tells him that he has to choose one or the other, as he can’t have both of them. Wentworth plays out the situation in his mind and finally decides to go on the date. But as he’s preparing to leave, his dream takes a bold new step and actually comes to life (in his mind). Standing up his date, Wentworth’s insecurity wins out as he decides that he’d rather live in his own mind than risk being hurt by a real woman. As it turns out, Emily also has her own dream guy…a fantasy version of Wentworth. Will these two people who are obviously meant to be ever get together?
