Just want everyone to know that it's not what time it is today that it would have been yesturday. Your clocks need to "fall" back 1 hour.
Also, anyone in NYC, start spreading the word and printing flyers if you can for our December 1st opening it Cineam Village, this is a real release not just a screening weekly, still doing it DIY though, so completely need the grass roots support. Flyers can be printed from here
And finally, anyone not in NYC, check out our promote page to share this kind of a widget for your city to help it get up to 150 or once it is over 150 and we have screenings booked it will change to display information about those screenings. We are lining up the next slew of screenings in the next few days so try to hurry up with boosting those number.
To get the graphic like you see below for your city, just go to here
and enter in your zip code. THen you'll be able to take that HTML code and paste it into a blog, bulleton or on your profile.

Also, shirts will run out in the not to distant future, so order while you can:

Adriana wearing our Shirt

Adriana wearing our Shirt
And if you already have a shirt, we are collecting pics, email them to "info {at symbol}foureyedmonsters.com" or upload them directly to our site here: here. We are going to be updating our shirts page very soon to display all of the photos people have uploaded to date.
Episode 9, we are working on it, it's coming soon. Other then promoting the cinema village screening and getting request numbers up it's all we are doing, so actually the more support we get from people on those things, the more time we have to edit. So get the word out and if you plan to come to a screening at cinema village with people please RSVP and let us know how many so we can gauge how well the grass roots effort is going.
Thanks big time to all the supporters!

Park City going well
Jan 23, 2006 03:24AM
Susan was on the sundance panel today about podcasting, she did a great job. We also handed out flyers for our slamdance special screening on the 25th to everyone as they left and we did 3 interviews afterwards. And we saw the paste article we are in as well as the filmmaker magazine article both of which we are really happy about. This push to promote the video podcast seems to be paying off.
We went to the withoutabox party tonight, the audience section is really coming together and we are glad to be one of the first to be using it.
Also a heads up about distribution for Four Eyed Monsters. Something will be announced very soon.

Arrived in Park City
Jan 20, 2006 08:59PM
We just arrived in Park City Utah, we are showing our video podcast episodes to date at a special screening on the 25th followed by a discussion afterwards about the future of filmmaking so we still have a lot of prepartation, but first, we are going to the slamdance opening party tonight. We'll try to post some stills. We'd make a video podcast, but we are still editing our video podcast from premiering the film last year at slamdance, so we have a lot of catch up to do first.

May 6th Screening
May 06, 2006 10:26AM
we're doing a screening at Brooklyn Museum tonight which is free, its at 8:30. Withoutabox will be handing out flyer to our audience with our audience comment/ Q&A line. I think that's going to be a really cool way to continue the conversation and feedback loop. Q&As are usually so silly, everyone starts out so timid asking technical questions and before the converstion can really become interactive and about the content it is cut short by the venue's need to make everyone leave. I'm really excited about the comment line and I think it's a great tool for WAB to open up to all filmmakers in the future.
We're also going to be rocking some limited edition Four Eyed Monsters t shirts!!!! will post pics in the next blog.

IFFB, Apple Store and ep 7
Apr 26, 2006 05:40PM
So IFFB was super cool. As per usual Arin and I only saw one film because we spent most of our time editing EP 7 so we could show a rough cut for our panel discussion. It was super fun though, We met the director of Cocaine Angel, Michael Tully, and he is super cool. The Brothers Nee were also cool and they did the film "Last Romantic". I'm hoping to catch both these films elsewhere. Arin and I did however see LOL which was great. Arin not only stayed awake he laughed a lot even though he was exhausted. (Arin's ususally so beat at festivals he sleeps through the films we actually go to see.) I think our panel was a smashing success. The Boston filmmakers seemed really open to the RSS and showing their work online. We met some filmmakers who go to Emerson college who started putting their shorts up on a podcast feed after reading about us in Paste and then following our tutorial. I checked out their shorts and totally enjoyed them. You can check them out at http://www.simple-coat.com/Navigation.html
Independent Film Festival of Boston
Apr 20, 2006 08:17AM
So we're showing the vidoe podcast episodes and showing a sneak preview of ep7 at the IFFB, which will be free to the public. They're putting us up in a swank hotel, much too good for us and we're going to talk about the video podcast, self distribution and WAB and all kinds of other stuff. That's happening on Sunday at 2 PM at Jimmy Tingle which is in Somerville. Also our friend Joe Swanberg is playing his latest film LOL at this festival. Arin hasn't seen it so he's really looking forward to it and i've seen a rough cut which was great so i'm excited to see the final version. We'll be going to the Sunday screening of that at 8PM at Somerville 2. I have a feeling this festival is going to rock.
Wild Tigers
Apr 12, 2006 09:38PM
I'm really dying to see "Wild Tigers I have Known" by Cam Archer. I met him this year in Park City because we were on panel together that was hosted by Jeff Abramson of Gen Art. He sent me his shorts which were great. He creates dream like worlds that teeter between beauty and creepiness. I hope 'Tigers' gets released some way or another.

Hi Susan, I've been tuning into you podcasts on and off for a few months. You guys have done something really cool with Four Eyed Monster and I hope you come to London. It's great to see people self-distributing but I bet you're totally broke. Broke is the independent filmmakers diet. I'm starting my own enterprise with my first short film Shantell Town....Through these communities we can help each other succeed...good luck...p

Hey, this is my bit of shameless self promotion. Check out my movie page. It has a little trailer and if you ask nicely I can probably let you see the whole thing on a super secret website. http://audience.withoutabox.com/films/justforthedrive
Thanks,
