Getting a trailer on my website May 29, 2006 09:29PM
I am working on getting a short trailer for my short film available for download on my website. In the meantime I am going to post, in the next couple of days, the behind the scenes featurette for your viewing pleasure. We had so many great crew and cast on the show, plus such an amazing time working together that I get a kick out of watching it every time. Reminds me how blessed I am to have been able to lead a crew forward into making this film. Look for it soon at www.hopeofglorypics.com .
Submission Status - Personal StatusĀ  May 25, 2006 07:22PM
Since starting this blog I have been incredibly busy and have intended to post almost every day, but haven't gotten around to it. The film is still being submitted to various festivals, nine in total so far, and counting. And that is very interesting I know, but really, you probably would rather know something about why I made the film, etc...

The main reason I made this film was to make a film about a man choosing hope. I had been thinking about it for several years (not the film, but the theme) and became more and more personally interested in humans who are put in situations where what's really in their hearts are revealed (the good, bad and ugly) and then have a choice to choose what is right. In the case of this movie we have Harris, a man who is used to having his world in order and who has pulled back from his wife because of his inability to give her children. At the beginning he is given hope in the form of a new drug study to address his problem, and as the film goes on the hope grows and transforms how he acts towards his wife. But when the hope of his situation being solved is taken away he is left with the choice to push through his pride or retreat again. He makes the choice to get back into his marriage and love his wife, choosing hope instead of it being something that is chosen for him.

I may edit this above description if I find that it could be improved upon but this is basically the story I set out to tell.

Must run and have dinner with my excellent friend and one of my financial supporter on this project Drew Davies. All gratitude goes out to those that supported this endeavour!!

Good luck with your film. It's important, I feel, to make films that have content. A story about something significant and yours sounds like it has that. I'll be looking forward to the trailer
