Dates set for Santa Barbara screenings

The dates are set for the two screenings at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. They are Sat. Jan. 27, 1:30 pm at Marjorie Luke Theater and Wed. Jan. 31, 1:00 pm at Center Stage Theater. Amy Gorman and I will both be there for the Q&A after the show on Saturday, I'll be doing that solo on Wednesday, as Amy has local screenings back in the Bay Area. Stop by and say hi.

I’m very pleased to announce “Still Kicking” has been accepted for screening at three festivals: 22th Santa Barbara International Film Festival in January, Show Me Missouri International Film Festival in February, and American Society on Aging Media Festival, Chicago in March.

“Still Kicking” has heart and soul packaged in 90 year old bodies. Six women, age 91 to 106, demonstrate what being old, very old, can look like. Do these elders energize themselves through their art, craft and musicianship? Whatever their degree of talent, they all embrace a daily routine in which their special art form is an essential part. Each woman is spirited and resilient–- interpreting for themselves a life worth living for ninety years or more.
