After a great run on the festival circuit (90 festivals & 12 “Best Short Film” awards) our little movie, AVAILABLE MEN is being released on DVD January 30th by Wolfe Video. It’s one of 7 truly hilarious and accomplished short films on a compilation entitled (oddly enough) AVAILABLE MEN. Now, all we have to do is sell it! And at a mere $19.95, it a steal! Available Men wins TWO MORE AWARDS!

Over the weekend, my short won awards at the Valley Film Festival here in L.A. and at the DC Shortsfest in our nation's capital! That brings our total to 7 awards. We're really happy.

We won "Best Short Film" at Outfest in Los Angeles and despite the fact that I was totally shocked, I managed to be witty in my acceptance speech!

My short film, AVAILABLE MEN is scheduled to screen in the following L.A. area festivals in the next few weeks.
First up is Outfest 2006. We are in in the "Boys Shorts" program which is screening on July 8th & 10th in Los Angeles. http://www.outfest.org/
It's next scheduled to screen at the HollyShorts Short Film Festival @ Cinespace in the heart of Hollywood (August 11-13). http://www.hollyshorts.com/
Then at The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films (Aug 24-30, 2006) http://www.psfilmfest.org/

On Sunday, June 18th, we won "Best Short Film" at the 2006 Nantucket Film Festival. I think this is largely due to my close relationship with the Kennedys.

We won the audience award for "best short" at Newfest: The New York Gay & Lesbian Film Festival over the weekend. The film is being screened at New Filmmakers in New York on June 21st.

AVAILABLE MEN won "Best Short Comedy" at Q Cinema: The Fort Worth Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
Back in March, the film won "Best Short Film" at the World Comedy Film Festival in Toronto.
