Darkon

Wow. Darkon really struck a chord with me. I was particularly inspired by Skip's honesty and the concept of dreams. In American society, we constantly have the pressure to prove our worth and to achieve our dreams. What happens when we get a raw deal? As Skip attests, we must continue to dream, or else we stagnate, or "explode" (Harlem: A Dream Deferred).
Role playing seems to be a rather intricate means for people to explore themselves, their fears, and their inner most desires. I personally use religion as my method for coping and envisioning something larger than myself.
I truly admire Skip-- his successes, his failures, and his refined character. Frankly, I view him as a greater "hero" than the slightly arrogant King of Mordom with all his victories and real-world conquests.
