Hola People, sorry I haven’t posted any blogs yet, it’s been an extremely busy year, so I had to put “Un Mejor Mañana” on the shelf for a few months.
Here’s the update on the film:
In June 2006, I re-edited the film into a 60 minute cut, submitted it to Sundance, and made it to the final day of cuts. That morning I received an email from Sundance Film Festival saying “we loved your film, but….” Ahh those awful words. Well, I made it to the very last cut, so I guess I should be proud, Right? Since then I decided to extend my documentary into a 90 minute version; so now I have 3 versions to choose from: the 15 minute short, 60 minute made for TV, and the 90 minute film version. So this is why you haven’t seen my film at any festivals lately. But the good news is this!! We are now submitting the film to festivals again. So with Gods grace, I hope to be screening at a theater near you soon, hopefully as soon as fall 2007.

My Name is John Bonifacio Moreno; I'm an artist, muralist, & Indie filmmaker. I have been traveling the world for about 15 years now, painting murals and exhibiting my artwork. My film is a hip-documentary about being Chicano and painting representational murals in Mexico. My artwork comes from the deepest part of my soul, my love for my indigenous blood and spirit. My murals can be found all over the world, all of which are a combination of images I draw from my mind and dreams mixed with Latino, religious and Indigenous codices/ images.
