SOUTHERN FRIED FLICKS WAS A BLAST! Jan 16, 2007 04:54AM
Had a great time this year at Southern Fried Flicks in Augusta. "The Clinton 12" won Best Documentary (it actually tied for first place with another doc). I didn't think lightening could strike twice at the same place but I guess I was wrong. My film "Secret City: The Oak Ridge Story" won Best Doc last year. I couldn't be more pleased. Saw some old friends and made some new ones. Congrats to Griffin and Barry from Birmingham for their film "Mr. Extion". It won Best Short and Audience Favorite. Also, looking forward to seeing you guys, as well as Todd and Mary at the All American Film Festival Feb. 23-24 in Durham, NC. For now, waiting to see what other festival (if any) we might get into and planning on going to Texas Black Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival and All American Film Festival in February!
MADE IT TO AUGUSTA Jan 12, 2007 07:07AM
Well, I rolled into Augusta about 1 am this morning and am really looking forward to the remainder of the Southern Fried Flicks Film Festival. We have a filmmakers lunch today at noon and I hope to finally meet wome of my fellow WABers there. "The Clinton 12" screens this afternoon at 6pm at the Le Chat Noir around the corner from the Imperial Theatre. We got a great article in the MetroSpirit here in Augusta, so I hope we have a great crowd for the screening. I will keep you posted!
"The Clinton 12" Accepted in Southern Fried Flicks Film Festival Dec 19, 2006 08:05AM
We are excited about going back to Augusta, GA this January for the Southern Fried Flicks Film Festival. Had a great time there last year with "Secret City: The Oak Ridge Story" and know we will have a good time this year. Also, Brooks Benjamin's "Point of Fear" will also be shown. As soon as I get a schedule, I will let you know screening dates and times.
Secret City Films to produce next Brooks Benjamin feature Dec 09, 2006 01:43PM
It looks as though Secret City Films is going to venture into new territory! We have just agreed to produce Brooks Benjamin's new feature film project. Brooks is the writer/director of "Point of Fear" which is beginning to make the festival circuit. We are extremely excited about working with Brooks on his new feature, which he plans to shoot Summer '07. Brooks is a great guy and an extremely talented filmmaker and we couldn't be more excited about this project!

    Keith,

We are receiving a great article in our local arts weekly, and we submitted you to the journalist as one of the film makers that we would like featured. If you haven't heard from her yet, you will soon!

Can't wait until the 9th. Congrats on another great film!
