DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
May 19, 2006 08:24AM
Movies can be magical when they change the way we see the world we live in. It’s often an unfair and difficult world we live in. But there is hope.
The story for “Tomorrow is Today” came to me one day after having experienced the loss of a loved one. I was sitting in the sand, starring at the magnificent ocean when Greg and Julie’s story rushed into my mind like one of the powerful waves before me. The first thing I did was call my best friend Mark Hefti who immediately agreed to write it. He came to the Jersey shore to breathe and feel the storyand returned to Los Angeles to write it. One year later he’d completed this very powerful tale of loss, love and survival.
From the beginning the effect of this script on people was remarkable. It made it easy to get wonderful and talented people to join the project. Our DP Kevin C.W. Wong agreed to shoot it for deferred payment and even invest in the project. In fact, virtually everyone involved in this film agreed to dedicate their time and talent to make this story become a reality without upfront pay. And it took very little convincing. The story was that powerful.
The power of the story even traversed the Atlantic when in France Guillaume Roussell (who will in my opinion be one of the great film composers of our time) agreed to write and perform the score for deferred payment as well.
This film has been a magical experience for me because of the healing powers of the story, but also because it allowed me to work with some incredibly talented artists.
When some watch this film they cannot believe that it was shot for such a small budget with a $5,000 camera (Sony HVR Z1U). Even the manufacturers of the camera themselves are floored by the quality. But I cannot take credit for this. It is the result of a group of passionate and generous individuals who decided to give it their all for a story which was worth telling.
Hopefully you will find something in this story, which will help you view the world a little differently. If you need it, hopefully it will give you some hope.
Take care,
Frederic Lumiere

Can you do me a favour? I'd like to create a website, but I don't have a credit card (Visa Card or Master Card) for the payment.
However, I'd like to send money into your account so that you can open the following website for me: www.editionshamsaid.com. Just to allow me to put all the works I've done on line: Books and Movies.
Regards,
Tina

since the site is new, i am myself collecting work profile , official websites of few involved in filmmaking to post in the site.If you are interested please post your work experience , profile or about your film projects at ----------> www.MyFilmmaking.com < ----------- in category that suits you. This is just a small effort .so the site may not be perfect and useful atpresent. It will take sometime for me to really make the site helpful for filmmakers.

Hi!
We've manged to submit the "La Victime 1" at the Beverly Hills Fine Arts Industry Showcase and the movie is in consideration. We're not quiet sure with the tehcnic, sound, row actors and lights being the problems, but we're confident to our story that it's the first Congolosese indie. We're waitting on the 28th for the result from the Festival. At least, we've tried our best to reach there. We're are still carring with the "Le Nouveau Patron". We must have less problems as we're getting more experience in the Post Production. Thanks to Dstrauss and Jacques for the words of encouragments on the blogs.
It made us to look forward and forget our past failures.
Regards,
Tina

je dois juste dire que voir cela, donne de l'espoir à des jeunes cinéastes qui n'ont pas de grand budget!
Amazing pictures, amazing trailer!

Hey, this is my bit of shameless self promotion. Check out my movie page. It has a little trailer and if you ask nicely I can probably let you see the whole thing on a super secret website. http://audience.withoutabox.com/films/justforthedrive
Thanks,
