Trade Thoughts with Maukka

We've just started submitting the film. So far we've only submitted to festivals in the U.S. but hope to play European Festivals down the road. I let you know when that happens. Let me know when your film plays in the U.S. especially if it plays on the west coast. Good luck with you film. It's very touching and I'm sure it is going to do very well.

Sincerely,

Brock Johnsen

Your trailer is very touching. I'm going to watch the the whole film on line very soon. A couple of years ago I met a holocaust survivor. He was sent to a death camp at age 6 without parents or guardians. He was there for three years before the camp was liberated. I felt privileged to meet a holocaust survivor and have the great respect for all those who perished and those who survived that dark period in the history of our world. My film WWII Men of the Pacific, also deals with anti-Semitism and the tragedy of war. Best of luck with your film. It has an important message.

brockjohnsen Feb 24, 2007 11:31AM

Just watched the trailer. I love the story line. This is a very well made trailer!Congratulations. I would be very curious to know about your Pumelo experience. Have you paid for advertising yet? If you check out the WAB message boards under "Pumelo" you will see that there has been a lot of "exposure" about the festival.

My trailer won't be up on WAB for a few weeks but you can check it out if you like at www.donttalksodumb.com

Best of luck on a movie whose trailer has winner written all over it.

Hi Maukka,
Thanks for the link to TRACES. Enjoyed it alot. The images are powerful and the whole film has a quiet effortlessness (though I am sure it was alot of work).
You asked who did the song in the trailer for BIRD IN THE SKY (www.birdinthesky.com)(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQTHZZfjV3A) It is Kay Merryweather, the co-star of our film. We have done a few more music videos together if you want to check them out here are the links:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPEfr2RyI3o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOyAA9qR18Y
Good luck with your film. AJAX

Hi Maukka, your documentary is so touching. How did you manage to put together so much research and material in such a poetic but also rational and not tear-seeking (Italian expression) way. Very beautiful.

francescafini Jan 16, 2007 02:42PM

Maukka, thanks for posting on my site and sharing your trailer. It looks very emotional and interesting. I will check out the ffull 32 minute film. Let me know what you think of my trailer, too. http://www.thenextrace.com
