I am a Makeup Artist working in the New England and New York Metro areas. Since the very first time I painted my boyfriend for Rocky Horror eight years ago, I was hooked. I've painted professionally for M.A.C. Cosmetics since 2002. I've worked on everything from film, music video, and promotional material to special events and various creative projects.



I am particularly fond of working with artists of all sorts and bringing their visions to life. I've worked with bands as diverse as AFI and All That Remains. I am the Artist's Artist. I can process a request like, "I want Diamanda Galas' brows, Siouxsie's shadow, Brian Eno's lashes, Peter Murphy's cheekbones, Bowie's skin, and Hedwig's lips."



Most importantly, there is no "Arteest" drama here. I don't go by one name like Cher or Madonna. I don't dress in pretentious labels to get noticed. My consistant work and ease on set speak for me, NOT my heels.

Melissa your photo is terrific! Well written, too. I wouldn't be concern whether or not you should have a profile up here - your talent IS part of filmmaking! Love you.
