Story Line

Set on a fishing dock an adopted young boy named Jonathan shares with a couple of his friends the intriguing secret to his Uncle Gabriel’s success. This story takes his friends on a hair— raising journey way back to when Uncle Gabriel encountered a very mysterious man that would change his life forever. The Cornerman is what he’s called. The Cornerman wasn’t anything like Gabriel could have ever imagined, cause he happens to be the manifest- ation of Gabriel’s mothers ordeal. Some would say Gabriel’s mother was under some sort of terrible genera-tional curse (Exodus Ch. 20) in fact she’s recently buried two of her three sons, then her husband abandons her, which leads to a nervous breakdown. But just as her hopes and dreams collapse, her sole surviving son Gabriel encounters the Cornerman on his way home at the Pinnacle. The Pinnacle’s an old abandoned run down building across town which once was a church. But the Corner- Man rehabs it and transforms into a nostalgic boxing gym to train troubled young men after school. These guys would come out in droves to learn how to box or “the sweet science” they called it, but the Cornerman’s real mission was much greater. However, there was just one problem— Mr. Bolo. Dominic, Dominic A. Bolo, his friends call him D.A. for short— that’s right D.A. Bolo, the successful entrepreneur who seemed to have all…loads of cash, exotic beautiful cars and women joining him on his private jet or hi-tech yacht. This guy was like Donald Trump on steroids!...he was nothing to play with. You’d catch him Vegas or A.C. taking in all the big fights, he really enjoyed seeing to me jump in the ring, out to destroy one another, this really turned him on. Finally after one of his trips, Mr. Bolo decides to convert one of his many warehouses into an upscale—state of the art boxing gym. And just like the Cornerman, Mr. Bolo would also invite new recruits, only they didn’t know of his terrible agenda until it was a bit too late. In closing or as the story unfolds we find that Mr. Bolo’s actually out to destroy the Cornerman’s protégé’s one by one, and he’s ultimately got his sights set on young Gabriel. Therefore, it would be up to the Cornerman—Coach Choregeo to prepare Gabriel for the battle of his very life, and up to Gabriel to not only face his demons—but ultimately chase his demons and stand fast—UNPHAZED!
